All that you accomplish or fail to accomplish with your life is the direct result of your thoughts.
James Allen
This is not very pleasant, however, just yesterday I was enjoying washing my car (her name is Harriette. Yep', I name my car. She is very loved!. Suddenly I noticed my 4, yes 4!, pet dogs thoroughly enjoying tearing something apart on the lawn. I went to investigate. Wish I hadn't! As I got closer the smell was nauseating. I do not recall smelling anything this bad ever. Whatever they had seemed to resemble a rabbit that had partially decomposed. It's insides were greenish, slimy and absolutely putred. My dogs, which by the way, are small maltese /jack russell's - NOT rottweillers, were behaving as though they were starved and finally allowed a morsel of food. They were not going to give it up for anything. I wanted to take it from them and bury it, get rid of it anyway I could, however, I couldn't do it. Everytime I got close enough to get a whiff of it, I began to gag. In fact, I got too close and ..... yes, I vomited. This is already bad enough, I wont make you suffer the details of what happened after that. Anyway, why am I telling you this? Because it was another awesome example of how the thoughts we think effect how we feel - and create the physiological responses in the body.
A couple of hours later I am driving down the freeway, feeling perfectly happy, healthy and satisfied with my lot. Suddenly, as I reflected on my day, I began to think about those disgusting dogs of mine and what they were up to, and I started to gag again. No smell, just a memory A THOUGHT creating such a violent response in my body. Knowing what I know, especially as a Hypnotherapist which certainly opens one's mind and awareness to the power of thought, I focused on changing my thoughts. You see, whatever you focus on expands, becomes more real, and whenever we take thought away from something it dissolves. I immediately began to think of something else - NOT FOOD for obvious reasons. I will spare you the detail of my newfound thoughts, but they were nice... mmmmmmmm, and guess what? Yep, I no longer felt nauseus. The thoughts were creating the feeling. The pictures in my mind were creating the physiological response in my body. Change your thoughts and you change how you feel. Therefore, choose your thoughts carefully, wisely, for they create your life. You have the power within you. You have the power to choose.
For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by the mind. I have had experiences in my life that ensure I explore that further. One of those is being published in the new best selling book Wake up Live the Life you Love Moments soon to be released. Since discovering the wonderful and empowering world of Hypnosis, my fascination and intrigue only escalated and continues to do so. I have witnessed 'miracles' with my clients and for myself using the power of the mind. In my Blog and my up and coming website, it is my intention to discuss and share more with you about these experiences and this phenomena that is yours to truly use to your advantage so that you continue to become more and more aware that your habitual thinking and imagry mold, fashion and create your destiny. If what we focus on expands, then together if we all focus on all that is healthy, life giving and feels good - what do you think will happen? Let's be happy together. Come on join me. I now pronounce myself the new "Mrs. Happy"!
